BigTone recording studios is based in Bridgewater Mill, Patricroft, Manchester. Easy to get to from the M60 and minutes from the Trafford Shopping centre. There's also Patricroft train station just 1 minute round the corner from us. The studio boasts a professionally designed and treated control room with a flat reponse, and two live rooms each with their own individiual acoustical characteristics (one 'ambient' one 'dead'). We have an extensive collection of quality mics and outboard gear. As well as the best in digital conversion (lynx aurora) and plugins (UAD-2 and UAD-1 powered, focusrite liquid mix). THE PRODUCER BigTone producer Tim Gray (aka Tim G) has years of experience recording, mixing, producing bands and artists from all over the country. After graduating from Huddersfield university in 2003 with a 2.1 in Music Techniology (BA hons), he quickly rose to fame as a mashup /remix artist being commissioned by MTV to produce tracks for their MTV mash series, and getting world wide radio play of his tracks. After producing Sonic Boom Six's debut album, 'The Ruff guide to Genre Terrorism' in 2006, Tim quickly gathered momentum as one of the uk's most popular producers of ska and punk music working with acts such as Random Hand, The Catch-it Kebabs, Harijan, Above Them, Sounds of Swami.... He has also had experience working alongside other top producers/engineers such as Christophe Bride (Kid British, Zen Baseballbat) and John Pennington (The Smiths, The Happy Mondays, Paradise Lost ).
