Are you looking for work / work experience in a recording studio?

Due to the large number of emails and phone calls I'm getting about jobs/work/work experience/student placements, I'm taking the time out to write this in the hope that people will read it before ringing me

To cut a long story short, it's a tough business but if you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours... I offer no typical work placements as such, however I do offer commision on work you can bring to the studio.

Help scout for work (ideally bands booking several days) and I will pay you 10% of the total fee, and offer you as much experience in the studio as you want.

Show me you have the initive to help bring in business and you can be a part of it. If you're an aspiring engineer/producer, there is only as much work as you make for yourself... no 9-5 jobs. sorry!

To begin with this kind of arrangement could involve you emailing/facebook messenging bands/labels, fylering gigs, sending CDs of examples to people, posting on forums, and hopefully securing bookings for the studio. If all goes well further down the line the 10% cut could increase and you could see yourself being a bigger part of the studio.
